Privacy and cookies

What TestSweep keeps in your browser, what it sends and to whom, which cookies exist and why, and how to withdraw consent at any time.

The tests

Every test on this site runs inside your browser. What your screen displays, what your microphone hears and what your camera sees are never uploaded, never stored on a server and never seen by us. There is no account to create and no email address to give.

What is kept in your browser

Two things, both in your browser's local storage, and neither is ever sent anywhere:

  • Which tests you have run and whether each passed — this is what the report is built from.
  • Your answer to the cookie question below.

Clearing your browser's site data removes both.

Analytics

With your agreement, we load Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica to see which tests get used and which pages people arrive on. Both set cookies and both receive your IP address, the page you are on and roughly where in the world you are. Neither receives any test result.

Nothing from either is loaded until you agree. If you decline, no script from Google or Yandex is fetched at all and neither sets a cookie. Session recording is switched off.

Beyond page views, we count a short list of actions: that a test was started and that it finished, that the verdict question was answered, that you moved on to the next test, that the report was reached or printed, that a link in the symptom index or in a scenario was followed, that the sponsor tile, the feedback dock or a copy button was used, and that a camera, microphone or location permission was refused.

No result is ever among them. We record that you answered the verdict question, never which answer; that a test finished, never what it found. Nothing a test sees — no picture, no sound, no position — leaves your machine, and no wallet address or anything you type is sent anywhere. Events are not stored before you agree and are not held back to be sent later if you do.

Separately, and without asking, the site loads Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser and does not fingerprint you; it counts page views and measures how fast pages load, on the same footing as a server log. It receives no test result.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages as static files. Cloudflare keeps its own request logs, which is how any web host works.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense to show advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads — including the DoubleClick cookie — and may use them to show you ads based on your previous visits to this site and to other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in itsadvertising policies, and you can opt out of personalised advertising atGoogle Ads Settings or ataboutads.info.

Other advertising vendors and networks Google works with may also set cookies to serve ads. Google publishes the list of those vendors. None of them receives any test result; the tests never leave your browser.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google applies its own consent requirements to personalised ads and serves limited, non-personalised ads where consent has not been given.
