What you agree to by using the tests: they indicate, they do not certify; decisions about buying, returning or repairing hardware are yours.
What the tests are
Every test on TestSweep runs in your browser and shows you what your own hardware does under a known pattern, sound or input. Each page says what it can and cannot detect. A result is an indication, produced by a web page with the limits of a web page, and read by you: it is not a laboratory measurement and not a certificate of a device's condition.
Decisions are yours
The site helps you decide whether to buy, keep, return, repair or replace something. The decision, and its consequences, are yours. We are not responsible for a purchase made or declined on the strength of a result here, for a warranty claim accepted or refused, or for anything done to a device on the advice of a page. Where a page suggests opening a device or changing a setting, do so at your own risk and check the manufacturer's guidance first — opening a device usually ends its warranty.
Some tests show flashing or rapidly changing content and say so before they start. If you are photosensitive, do not run them.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. We try to keep every page correct and every test working, and we correct what is reported to us; we do not promise that a page is free of errors or that a test will work on every combination of browser and device.
Your equipment and your data
Nothing you test is uploaded, and there are no accounts. What the site keeps in your browser and what it sends to third parties is described on theprivacy page, which forms part of these terms.
Content and use
The text, tests and drawings on this site are ours. You may link to any page, quote from it with attribution, and print a report for your own use — including to show a seller. You may not copy pages or tests wholesale onto another site, frame the site inside another, or use automated tools to scrape it beyond what search engines do.
Advertising and links
The site carries advertising and may carry links to products, some of which pay a commission if you buy. That never changes what a test measures or what a page recommends; where a page names a product, it is because it is the fix, not because of a link. Sites linked from here are not ours and have their own terms.
